Dr. Timothy Imuwahen is an esteemed theologian, researcher, and educator whose work bridges the disciplines of biblical theology, family theology, and discipleship in family life. As the World’s First Research Professor of Family Theology, he is widely recognized for pioneering a theological and pedagogical movement that centers on God in family-based education and discipleship.
With a Doctorate in Systematic and Family Theology, Dr. Imuwahen has focused his academic career on the development of theological models that equip Christian families to fulfill their divine mandate as the primary context for spiritual formation. His professorial field uniquely integrates Family Theology—the biblical and doctrinal study of the family—with Theocentric Education, a God-centered approach to learning that transforms homes into intentional environments of Kingdom discipleship.
He is the Founding President of Testament Theological Seminary in Nigeria and the visionary behind the Timothy Imuwahen Centre for Kingdomology (TICK), a research institute dedicated to advancing the theology of family, home discipleship, and ecclesial integration. Dr. Imuwahen is also the Founder of the Association of Certified Kingdomologists (ACK), a professional body committed to raising trained leaders through certified Kingdom education programs.
His research explores the impact of home-based biblical discipleship, particularly in African contexts, as a sustainable and spiritually rich alternative to secular education. His passion lies in equipping Christian parents, churches, and educators with biblically grounded frameworks for raising the next generation in alignment with God’s Kingdom purposes.
Through his lectures, writings, and leadership, Dr. Imuwahen continues to shape the future of theological education, championing a revival of family-rooted faith and academic excellence grounded in Scripture.
